Spoon Theory

This video is a vivid explanation of living with Lupus. But it applies also to people with incurable cancer, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, or other debilitating illnesses. Thanks to my friend Knitting Beth for bringing this to my attention. It’s worth the 13-1/2 minutes. Watch it!

  1. Thank you.
I saw this in my friend Heather. She went from always squeezing in one more errand, one more stop, one more call. After cancer (and treatments and surgery) drained her, the fight began to choose wisely, which in itself claimed energy. The wide focus became narrow and pinpoint.
I kept wanting more from her as time became more precious, but there wasn’t more.

  2. Thank you for sharing this! It’s a great visual tool… it made me tired just listening/watching. I can only imagine how hard it is for the people who have to live that way. Thank you for your spoons!
